Top o' the Mornin' to Ya! TLDR: Did you ever hear and wonder why you keep saying words or phrases over and over? I was going over some of my last YouTube posts, and they're filled with "and that's just beautiful." Beautiful showed up everywhere over and over again. I've noticed different seasons of my life that certain words or phrases just come up and continue and repeat. Did you ever hear and wonder why you say similar things over and over? I was going over some of my last YouTube posts, and now they're filtered with "and that's just beautiful." Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful showed up everywhere over and over and over again. I don't know what the lesson is here today, but I've noticed in different seasons of my life that certain words or phrases just come up and continue and repeat. And they're just seasonal. Maybe they last a couple months, a couple years, and it's interesting to observe that and reflect on it. Sometimes I did it intentionally when I was ski coaching or working at summer camp. In those scenarios, I was trying to be cool and sound cool. "Awesome" was one of them. "You did what with who for how many boxes of cookies?" "That's what she said." My wife doesn't like that one at all--from our early dating years. That's so old school. I'm aging and dating myself now. But right now, it's "beautiful." And at first, I'm like "Why do I keep saying that? This video had three beautifuls in it, and that's just beautiful." And I think for me right now, it's just thinking about the Kingdom of God, thinking about His Kingdom here now, and the examples, the stories, the lessons are examples of love. They're stories of love. And when love is acting out in perfect harmony, in perfect Kingdom alignment, it creates Kingdom beauty. It creates "that's beautiful, and that's beautiful." But I notice it's probably at that point, it's probably also a filler for me in the videos because these are an idea that I processed in my head either a couple minutes or longer over the last twenty-four to however many hours it was since the last video. And they're just from the spirit, from the heart, from impromptu. I'm coming up with no practice. Stand-up comedy without the rehearsed jokes and practice other than the practice of speaking and sharing on a regular basis. So like right now, I think I mentioned a few days ago, my son's saying "chicken nugget," and that's a totally random thing, and he keeps bringing that up. But look around in your life and see: is there a certain phrase or comment or word that you're using frequently? I'm thinking there was a good one I used when I was coaching. It wasn't "stupendous" or "spectacular" or "stipendicular." It was something along that line, something really positive that made people stop and actually hear the word because it was different. And that was part of its design in that season - to garner attention and positivity. One of the phrases I used in my coaching was "whine, whine, complain, moan." Sometimes the athletes get into a season or a stretch where they couldn't achieve the performance they were seeking, or they couldn't come to practice or they didn't do their homework exercises and stretching. I would just call it out: "Whine, whine, complain, moan. Now that we've established that, move on." We've identified one of those areas or something related is going on here. Identify it, name it, put it aside, set it on the shelf, and leave it for another day. No, leave it forever. Don't pick it up again. But we're human. We're gonna pick that "whine, whine, complain, moan" moment up again, and we're going to use it and recycle it until we get to the Kingdom, till we get to our heavenly bodies and eternal life. So look at the words around you. Look at the phrases around you. And if you don't find any, cool. But I bet you could for yourself or for someone else. And if you wanna be adventurous, select a word or phrase to make popular in your vocabulary in these next few weeks or months. You be blessed! #KingdomFamilyLeader #AndThatsJustBeautiful #SeasonalPhrases #WhineComplainMoan #KingdomBeauty
