The investigation of this case was very complex and the investigators used non-traditional procedures at the time to clarify the matter. One of the reasons why the investigators took unprecedented steps was that the perpetrator was illiterate. In the investigation phase, the case is very similar to the case of Torzo from the documentary series Legends of Criminalistics. However, the two cases are separated by 24 years.
