Dallas Animal Services asked the City to fund a state-of-the-art animal shelter and adoption center through the 2024 Bond Program and we need your help to make it a reality! Here are a few ways a new shelter would help us accomplish our goals: Public Safety: The proposed new shelter aligns with our priority of ensuring public safety. By addressing our shelter’s current limitation and overcrowding, we reduce the health and safety risks for both animals and citizens. Adequate space and improved facilities support the well-being of animals and minimizes the potential for public health issues. And improved ventilation, sanitation, and isolation areas can help prevent the spread of diseases and create a healthier environment for both animals and staff. Animal Lifesaving: Our other priority of animal lifesaving is at the forefront of this proposal.
