We have Indulekha and Nanda performing Shadakshara Kauthuvam, composed by Madhurai Shri R Muralidharan, set in Shanmukhapriya Ragam and Rupakam Taalam, and choreographed by Indulekha and Nanda themselves. Shadakshara Kauthuvam is a composition dedicated to Lord Muruga, the radiant son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi, revered as the divine embodiment of knowledge, valor, and compassion. The term Shadakshara means six syllables, referring to the sacred mantra "Sa-ra-va-na-bha-va", the six-syllabled name of Muruga. The Lord, also known as Shanmukha, is often depicted with a spear, or vel, travelling on his peacock, protecting the world. The composition is set in Shanmukhapriya, the raga dearest to Lord Muruga, and in Rupaka taalam, which is a 6-beat cycle that symbolizes the importance of the number 6 in Lord Muruga's legacy.
