Painting With Light was a series of programs shown on UK TV on BBC2 in 1987. It features six artists as they explore the Quantel DPB-7001 Digital Paint Box. Production was a collaboration between the BBC and Griffin Productions. Some of the episodes were edited and compiled and released onto Laserdisc for the North American market. This video is a restoration of that Laserdisc version. It features four of the original programs in a compiled and edited feature. This features David Hockney, Larry Rivers, Howard Hodgkin and Jennifer Bartlett.
