DOUBLE JAW SURGERY 2021 | 2 WEEK POST OP UPDATES + ESSENTIALS

It has officially been 14 days since my #doublejawsurgery. 😱 While recovery has been slow, it has been full of positive steps forward! Here’s a recap of this weeks wins 📈: 2 WEEK MILESTONES: • Swelling has been reduced by 75-80% and my energy is up! I’m still not at 100% but I am feeling way better than week one. • I am able to go on extended walks outside without getting too tired or winded more often than not. 💪🏽 • Feeling in my face is coming back slowly but surely. I still have numbness from my cheeks to my upper lip, which make it look/feel like I have a bit of Botox in my face. 😂 Hopefully this resolves soon. • Sleeping has been pretty difficult due to congestion, but I am now able to sleep on my side and through the night most nights without being elevated! • My stitches are healing really nicely and my surgeon is happy with my progress so far. For those who are wondering, the red marks on the sides of my cheeks are incision sites with stitches as well. Full recovery will take place at 6 weeks. • I am still on a full liquid diet, however I’ve progressed to eating soups that have more substance like rice and noodles and even drinking smoothies with a straw! 🥤 P.S.
