Wilson Mountain is the highest point above the beautiful Sedona red rock area in Arizona. From the top of the mesa there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Oak Creek valley and the many prominent rock formations surrounding Sedona. The trailhead is just north of town, and rises gradually the first two miles, before steep switchbacks take you around to the north side of the mountain where you enter a forest of towering pine, oak, and aspen trees.
