From Mechanisms of Rare Inborn Errors of Immunity to Precision Medicine in Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease PRESENTER Elena Hsieh, MD Associate Professor, Pediatric Allergy & Immunology, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus SESSION DESCRIPTION This session will illustrate the process of novel disease discovery in inborn errors of immunity (IEI) via the identification of a novel hypomoprhic LCK defect that results in immunodeficiency and gastrointestinal inflammation. Basic and clinical immunology concepts related to T cell selection, development, differentiation and antimicrobial immunity and tolerance will also be reviewed.
