Before the day of dead, marigolds are everywhere in the market. People use it to decorate graves and altars. They believe that the vibrant colour can guide the spirits home. In the market, you can also find other plants, fruits and vegetables. I happen to explore some day of dead decoration such as paper art and sweet in the form of skeleton. I was being told that Mercado Jamaica is a very dangerous place, so I never visit there. But actually, it's a interesting and lovely local market. I feel safe and normal over there.
