Cancer Research London Winter 10K | 15th February | Soaked Streets & Sub-47 Pace Attempt 🌧️🏃♀️ What a day for it… absolutely soaking in London! 🌧️ On February 15th, we took on the Cancer Research London Winter 10K, battling relentless rain, puddle-covered roads, and that proper cold winter chill. But the goal was clear — pace Jemma to a potential 47-minute 10K. From the start line nerves to locking into target pace, this one was all about smart pacing, staying mentally tough in brutal conditions, and pushing through when everything is telling you to slow down. Racing in heavy rain adds a whole new challenge — slippery corners, waterlogged trainers, and trying to keep splits consistent when you can barely see ahead! In this video: • Race morning prep in seriously wet conditions • Our pacing strategy for sub-47 • Live race efforts & key kilometre splits • The final push to the line • Did we hit the target? 👀 Massive respect to everyone who turned out to support Cancer Research UK — such an important cause and an incredible atmosphere despite the weather. If you enjoy race day vlogs, pacing strategy, and real-world running challenges, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more marathon training content as we build towards Manchester! 🏅
