Why I Love Bendy And the Ink Machine (And What It Means To Me)

This Halloween Season let's try something new. A departure from my usual Animation analysis but instead a game about animation. A game that means a lot to me, Bendy and the Ink Machine. I don't like how this game is blamed so much for the downfall of Mascot Horror recently especially since it was only the second big Mascot Horror game (and especially how FNAF seems to be exempt from all criticism) but I seriously don't think this game deserves a lot of the criticism it gets. I find it super refreshing and original, one of the best looking indie horror games with an amazing aesthetic that wasn't really tried before, surprisingly innovative gameplay for a survival horror game, and has a good story and environment it takes advantage of that's intriguing and ends with one of the most poignant and compelling messages I've seen in a horror game. This game has been one of my first fandoms and one of the games that have made the biggest impact on me and my growth as an online artist and it means a lot to me and I really want to stand up for it hopefully convince people that again it doesn't deserve its modern reputation and should be respective a lot more.
