In this law enforcement ride along with the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Larson conducts two intense Arizona traffic stops that escalate quickly. The first traffic stop involves a truck driving 86 in a 65 mph zone. In Arizona, 20 miles per hour over the speed limit is considered criminal speed. During the stop, the passenger identifies himself as law enforcement and displays his badge. Even so, the citation is issued. The second stop begins with dark window tint and an improper turn but quickly turns into an open container arrest. Deputies discover an open bottle of E and J brandy inside a purse and another open container concealed inside a Burger King cup. A large butcher knife is also found inside the vehicle. Under Arizona law, any open container of alcohol inside a motor vehicle is a criminal offense, regardless of distance driven. Both occupants are taken into custody and transported to the Navajo County Jail. Stay ahead of the action!
