Dr. Ashley D. Farmer, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of History and African And African Diaspora Studies at the University of Texas. Dr. Farmer shared her research on black women in the Black Panther Party and the roles black women had in the development of the Black Panther Party's ideology. Dr. Farmer's talk is based on her book "Remaking Black Power: How Black Women Transformed an Era."
