This video gives an overview of the transceiver, looking at everything from a high level. I then build and test the audio amplifier section. In this video series I build and test a Forty-9er transceiver from eBay. This classic QRP radio was designed back in 1996 by Wayne Burdick, N6KR (of Elecraft fame!), for the NorCal QRP Club. It has since been pirated by the Chinese eBay sellers, where this kit came from. How did it get the name? Because it is for 40m, and can run on a 9v battery. My guess is the local football team influenced the name as well.
