Newer, Greener, better - the new hydration technology from Pop Innovation

Following 28 years of research Pop Innovations (research) have successfully created a new hydraulic binder which requires just water to activate. The project is a milestone in new technology and represents a total departure to traditional cements. The carbon burden of this system is lower than any current hydraulic binder including so called geopolymers. Unlike most cement systems and geopolymers the new system is not based on the caustic, flesh damaging high pH reaction pathways. This material has a non-aggressive chemical profile. Due to this lower, more user-friendly system, aluminium and normal glass can be simply used in direct contact with the binder. The new hydraulic binder may not be offered to major cement manufacturers but released as a stand-alone total replacement technology. Pop Innovations do not believe that the new technology will be best served approaching the old and outdated Portland cement providers.
