Tamil Nadu: Newlywed Bride Dies by Suicide After Dowry Torture | Volvo Car, 800 gm Gold Given A 27-year-old woman, Ridhanya, died by suicide in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu on Sunday. She had reportedly faced relentless dowry harassment from her husband and in-laws. The woman got married in April, reportedly with a dowry of a Volvo car and 800 grams of gold. She consumed pesticide inside a parked car, which locals found suspiciously idle. Police recovered her body with foam at the mouth, confirming pesticide poisoning. Before dying, Ridhanya sent seven WhatsApp audio messages to her father. “I don’t like this life… they are assaulting me mentally,” she said in one message.
