Dunmore Park House - Falkirk - Scotland | 4K | DJI Mini 3 Pro and GoPro12

Dunmore Park House is one of three interesting buildings on the Dunmore Estate. This extensive estate, located near Falkirk, was the seat of the Earl of Dunmore until the early 20th century. Park House is the youngest of the famous buildings located there. The first one was the 16th century Elphinstone Castle, then in the 18th century, the 4th Earl of Dunmore built a summerhouse, the famous Dunmore Pineapple, for his wife. Finally, 60 years later, the 5th Earl of Dunmore built the Dunmore Park House, a more impressive and larger house than the previous two. Unfortunately, it wasn't in use for long. Less than 150 years from when it was built, it was abandoned and is now facing slow decay like some other 19th-century mansions in Scotland: Lennox Castle or Slains Castle. The Dunmore Estate was divided and sold in 1970, and some parts of it were bought by the Countess of Perth, who gave the walled garden and Dunmore Pineapple to the National Trust of Scotland, and they became quite a big attraction. Sadly, not the Dunmore Park House. There were talks about restoring it to its former glory as a golf and leisure complex, but nothing came out of it, and the house is slowly being reclaimed by the surrounding park.
