On November 1, 2025, the West Coast Express broke from its decades-long routine and operated a special Saturday service to celebrate its 30th anniversary — the first time in years that WCE has run on a weekend. Normally, WCE only runs weekdays (5 westbound trains from Mission → Waterfront in the morning and 5 eastbound in the afternoon). But for this historic event, a ONE-DAY-ONLY train departed Mission City at 9:00 AM, giving riders and transit fans a rare chance to experience the Fraser Valley commuter line on a weekend. This full-length ride takes you from Mission City Station to Waterfront Station, passing through the stunning Fraser River corridor, Pitt Meadows wetlands, and North Shore rail approaches — a perspective only WCE can deliver.
