When it appears as if they’re outnumbered, Velma takes a leap of faith and, trusting that the Jackal-Lanterns aren't real, jumps into the mouth of the giant one. It suddenly shuts down, and Velma comes out safely, revealing that the giant Jackal-Lantern was mechanical and all the smaller ones were drones.
