Live Chirurgie einer Implantation einer Irisprothese als Rekonstruktion nach Augentrauma mit Übertragung aus dem Augen-OP Sulzbach zum DOC Kongress in Nürnberg 2023. Die Entwicklung von faltbaren, maßgeschneiderten Irisprothesen ist ein bedeutender Fortschritt für die Rekonstruktion der Iris im vorderen Augenabschnitt bei Patienten mit teilweiser oder vollständiger traumatischer Aniridie. Das Implantat besteht aus flexiblem medizinischem Silikon mit eingearbeiteten Farbpigmenten (Humanoptics, Deutschland) und kann in einer minimal-invasiven Operation in Trauma-Augen eingesetzt werden. Die maßgeschneiderte Prothese ahmt das natürliche Aussehen der Iris durch eine dreidimensionale Topographie mit natürlich anmutenden Iriskrypten perfekt nach und ist derzeit der ästhetischste Ansatz für Aniridie-Patienten. Das Video zeigt die Implantation einer Iris-Vollprothese bei einem Patienten mit schwerem Trauma des vorderen Augenabschnitts und totaler Aniridie. The development of foldable, custom-made iris prostheses is a significant progress for the reconstruction of the iris in the anterior segment of the eye in patients with partial or complete traumatic aniridia. The implant is made of flexible medical-grade silicone with incorporated color pigments (Humanoptics, Germany) and can be placed in trauma eyes in a minimally invasive surgery. The custom-made prosthesis perfectly mimics the natural appearance of the iris through a three-dimensional topography with natural-looking iris crypts and is currently the most aesthetic approach for aniridia patients. The video shows the implantation of a full iris prosthesis in a patient with severe trauma of the anterior segment and total aniridia.
