During one of her follow up appointments we asked if she would like to answer a few questions for a video testimonial. She was more than happy to oblige as she was very happy with the surgery. We began by asking about the procedure and her surgeon. Mr Richards was her surgeon, and she had the procedure two and a half weeks prior to this testimonial. She began talking about the process, saying how apprehensive and nervous she was beforehand. The whole process was pretty new, as she had never been anaesthetised, and had previously only ever spent one night in hospital. She goes on to talk about the staff, and how helpful they were. She had someone to talk to whenever she wanted, and was made to feel at ease throughout. Nursing staff, and Mr Richards separately spoke to her about what would happen, before, during and after the surgery, which put her mind at a bit more ease. Despite this, she admits she was absolutely terrified all the way up to going into theatre. When asked about the pain, she said it was non existent. She felt no pain at all, during or afterwards. She only used paracetamol as a pain reliever. She goes on to say it was "unbelievably pain-free and easy." The stitches were removed a week ago, and even though the camera is a couple of metres from our patient, you can see no obvious signs she has had surgery. She actually thought she could've gone back to work after four days. All of the staff were excellent, and helped her every step of the way we are told. She said they helped ease her anxiety and made the whole experience manageable. Finally she goes on to say, not only would she recommend us to to friends and family, but is also going to come back for other small things in the future.
