Hello and Welcome to ALW Research Team, in this episode we are starting at an area known as Double Bridges, where a curve met the Knottingley to Goole section of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, this part is still active and the Drax Group biomass deliveries travel on here. So as I’m flying the drone, I spot an unusual freight train on the line approaching from Drax, I radioed through to Dave and this is what he captured. It is worthy of note that this rail over road bridge is the only Hull and Barnsley example left in running condition, we saw the Riplingham Road example back in an earlier episode but it is unlikely that this will ever see a rail service again. UPDATE, the Class 66 was carrying the following; Carl Harris wrote the following comment; Hello Andy the railcars are carrying containerised fly ash to appleford near didcot oxfordshire. Update it is going to cemex and is added to cement to make it stronger.
