"Solar Power" - Lorde | Spicy Acoustic Cover

I remember how much I loved “Royals” and all her songs from a few years ago. I saw this song this morning and immediately loved the idea of it. Here is my spicy acoustic cover. What makes it Spicy? For the most part, I tried to stay true to the song. This led me to keep a very simple guitar feel, while holding down the chords but still continuing the bass note that is present throughout. As always, instead of using generic open chord voicings, I instead used more complex shapes that give the song more energy and life. An example would be the first chord, the Amin. Instead of a normal Amin shape, I chose to either play a Amin7(add11), Amin9, or Amin13. This goes for all the chords in the song. Take a look and notice I don’t use a single open voicing (maybe I did once, but wither way, its not common). I also added my own licks here and to make the song more mine!
