A shopping centre in Russian-controlled Donetsk was set on fire during a late evening Ukrainian drone attack on Saturday (October 11), Russian-installed authorities said. There was no immediate information available on casualties, according to the statements by Russia. The Interfax news agency said Russian air defenses had shot down 72 Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours, citing the defense ministry. Donetsk has been under control of pro-Russian separatists since 2014 and formally annexed by Russia in 2022 among three other regions in a move condemned as illegal by most countries at the United Nations General Assembly.
