As Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month draws to a close, we want to share Miller’s story with you – one of positivity, resilience, and hope. Miller experienced a spinal cord injury in a car accident, paralyzing him from the waist down, and was told he’d never walk again. Miller and his family, who live in Raleigh, North Carolina, were determined to find the best care possible, even if that meant traveling. Their search led them to Sheltering Arms. Through our NeuroFit exercise recovery program for individuals with neurological conditions, Miller began working with our team to use advanced technology such as the Ekso Bionics exoskeleton and the Hocoma Andago. His sessions focus on strength, movement, and recovery, all supported by a dedicated team of exercise physiologists.
