The well known verse, Nirbhay Nirgun, written by the mystic poet Kabir. My inspiration for learning and presenting this piece was of course the famous rendition by Pandit Kumar Gandharva. I was so moved by the raw power in his voice, and utmost devotion when singing this beautiful poem. This live performance was from a recent summit in Yorkshire, England which I was invited to be a part of. We discussed the importance of heritage, and our impact on the world going forward. I felt it was appropriate to present pieces from both South as well as North India, in order to present our rich cultural heritage to this wonderful group of individuals who had gathered. Sandeep loves connecting with audiences worldwide, and regularly performs live concert tours across India, North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. He is also a music educator and has trained many students around the world in the art of Carnatic music.
