In this video we wanted to demonstrate how our boats go with electric motors and cover some frequently asked questions. We highlight how easy our boats can be moved along with the ePropulsion eLite and Spirit 1.0 Plus on a windy day. We apologise for the wind noise! As more and more boaties are interested in pairing their boats with electric motors, we often get asked things like: How do True Kit boats go with an ePropulsion? Can they go into a strong current? How heavy are they? Which shaft length should I get? In this video we try to answer these questions and more... Here are the performance results we found: eLite: Navigator 300 with 70-150kg Payload = 6-8kph Discovery 330 with 70-150kg Payload = 6-8kph Spirit 1.0 Plus: Navigator 300 with 70-150kg Payload = 8-9kph Discovery 330 with 70-150kg Payload = 8-9kph Key findings: While the speeds didn't vary much, the key difference between the two is the battery life. Recommended Shaft Size For Your True Kit: EXTRA SHORT SHAFT - 20.7” / 52.5cm: Navigator 250 Navigator 300 Discovery 280 Tactician SHORT SHAFT - 24.6” / 62.5cm: Discovery 330 Discovery 400 Remember, shaft length is measured differently compared to petrol outboards. Overall, electric outboards are an excellent pairing with our boats.
