Hencher wrote and sings all the music for his band. In fact, he is effectively the entirety of the band. Although the music sounds like the production of a guitar-thumping and bass-pumping fully fledged band, the Virals comprise Hencher on guitar, Hencher on bass, Hencher on vocals and...an unidentified person who contributes drums in the studio. The Worcester band's sound has been compared to the more American genre of 70s power pop and glam grunge, last heard in the 90s. The band has also been recommended as an ideal must-listen during rainy days. It's just that sunny.
