Welcome to the 9th episode of our P&O Arcadia vlogs! This was filmed during our 14-night cruise to Norway, Iceland and Ireland. Today is the first of two days we would spend in Reykjavik. We’d pre booked a Golden Circle tour, again with Iceland Guided Tours (https://www.igtours.is/). This full day excursion was due to start 30 minutes after the ship docked, so an early breakfast was in order! Our first stop was the Faxi waterfall, a popular area for fishing due to the amount of salmon that can be found here – just out of shot there is also a salmon ladder! Our next stop, was the Gullfoss Waterfall, or Golden Waterfall. This powerful 32 meter waterfall and very popular with tourists. It is absolutely amazing! Leaving Gullfoss, we head to Haukadalur Geothermal valley. Here you can witness the amazing Strokkur geyser. Our final stop on our Golden Circle tour is the Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. Back on board, we spend some time in the pools before getting ready to head out for the evening with some fellow cruisers who we met on the first day. After some dancing in the disco, we call it a night. Please like and subscribe, as we’ll be posting our next episode soon! About P&O Arcadia P&O has a history of over 180 years, the oldest cruise line in the world. Now owned by Carnival corporation, P&O UK is distinctly different to its sister brand P&O Australia. It has ship sizes that range from small ships such as Aurora to their bigger ones such as Ventura and Britannia. If you are looking for a traditional, British cruise line, where you can take family holidays or an Adults only cruise, P&O will have a ship that suits you. Exclusively for adults, Arcadia is a Vista Class ship with a capacity of 2,094 guests, 866 crew and weighs in at 83,781 Tons. Arcadia features two speciality dining venues: Sindhu – “In opulent surrounds, savour authentic Indian cuisine with a British twist” Ocean Grill – “Classic grill menu using the finest ingredients, given the Marco Pierre White twist” --- About Us We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini break on P&O Aurora. We like making videos of our cruises, they may not be to everyone’s tastes but they are our way of remembering the great times we’ve had, so please keep this in mind – we are not professionals and the complete video is shot and edited on an iPhone. We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails). Make sure follow us on social media, the links are below.
