This week we did a test for a customer to see if we could apply powder to a carbon fiber based composite. It worked pretty well except on the very this parts. This video shows our lab IR cure oven for Powder Coating. Just like our lower temp liquid cure ovens we monitor the actual part temperature and we maintain the part temp +/- 3 degrees F of the set point. You will see the lights flash on and off to maintain the temperature. This is a huge energy savings as compared to a convection based oven.
