Elysian Park Lowriders were out and about this past Sunday celebrating the Cinco de Mayo weekend. This lowrider cruise was brought to y'all by the L.A. Times Car Club and you had to be there to really take in the scene. When my brother and I arrived, it was full but it was still able to walk around but that changed quickly cuz not long after, the place exploded with even more rides and people. It was incredible to experience but it also had a somewhat downside and that was since it was so crowded, I couldn't video the cars how I usually do with the detailed shots and close ups. Instead I had to just walk around after taking a cruise up and down the main strip. I also couldn't really get too up close to the car hop as the area was just too congested and difficult for me to get around and squeeze in. Please do not take any of what I'm saying in a bad way, I'm just trying to explain my reasoning as to why this video isn't like my usual takes. Aside from the crowd, unfortunately the police had to get involved. The ghetto bird was flying around announcing that anyone illegally parked will be towed and given citations if not moved. Since there was no parking, a lot of people parked in the middle of the road. On to the brighter side of things, I saw many good homies out this way. Especially peeps from my area ORANGE*COUNTY, so that was real dope. Also, my homies the Blvd Chukos were out here repping the club and having a great time. Kicked it with them for a while, went cruising with them and after that also met up with my friend Paula from La Gente Car Club and her homegirl Kathy. Ending the day, my homegirl Breendylicious and the homie Sal Rojas were here and we all hung out taking in the scene and taking pics. Overall it was a great day, wished I could've gotten better shots but hopefully by next year, I'll have a drone for them aerial shots and who knows, maybe I'll be the one bringing in a low low to cruise around this time.
