Here’s an inside look at what a day of training looks like for our Futures High Performance Program On the throwing side, the current phase of the program consists of steadily increasing throwing workload and introducing athletes to different drills that prioritize improving their arm action and controlling their CoM (Center of Mass). Athletes are also starting to perform low intensity reps on the mound to get more comfortable with the slope On the hitting side, there are three categories that athletes are able to choose from each training day. The focus of each category includes body control (not over rotating/staying within your swing), bat path (working on bat plane & attack angle), and contact (trying to get a feel for hitting pitches in different locations on the plate) On the lifting side, the priority is building a strong foundation through tempo/eccentric exercises and exposing athletes to a variety of movement patterns Interested in joining our high performance program?
