Welcome to Day 4 of our French road trip. Today, we journey into one of the most profound chapters of modern history — the Normandy D-Day landings. Beginning in the historic town of Bayeux, we follow the path of World War II heroes through Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and the Normandy American Cemetery overlooking the English Channel. From the windswept cliffs where U.S. Army Rangers scaled impossible heights to the sands where thousands fought for freedom, this day serves as a solemn tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and unity of the Allied forces. As the day draws to a close, we return to Bayeux, where medieval charm meets modern remembrance. Beneath the towering Notre Dame Cathedral, we stroll the cobblestone streets, enjoy authentic French crepes, and rest in the elegant Château de Damigny, a 12th-century estate filled with history and warmth. This day is more than a visit — it’s a reflection on bravery, loss, and the enduring peace that followed.
