Everyone else kept forgetting each loop, everyone except Monika and Sans. They remained exactly the same in every reset. After losing his so-called "team" yet again, Eggman finally had it all figured out. Vortex was the one controlling the game. He possessed hidden powers he refused to reveal, powers Eggman now realized he needed to seize in order to save himself from these infinite loops. The final confrontation took place in Eggman's own base. He threw every resource he had into outplaying Vortex, forcing him to expend every ounce of power and skill he possessed. Yet nothing seemed to work against the mad genius. Vortex couldn't even graze the man. "How is that walking bowling ball dodging me like this?!" Vortex snarled, crumbling under the barrage of harsh insults and callouts Eggman hurled at him. Enraged and cornered, Vortex played his final card. In his fury, he gave Eggman exactly what he had been waiting for. Across countless resets, Eggman had quietly built and improved a machine—each iteration slightly better than the last. With every loop, he infused it with a single, carefully chosen word that would trigger his memories like a sleeper agent awakening. That machine was designed to interact directly with Vortex's powers. Using his old, broken dimensional device, the very one that had started this insane cat-and-mouse game, Eggman activated the trap. In a brilliant reversal, he imprisoned Vortex's powers inside his own machine. Vortex collapsed to the floor, defeated. For the first time in his infinite rewinds, he felt truly and utterly broken. Eggman stood over him. Before stepping through the escape ring to return home, he paused. Now wielding infinite power and having achieved an unrestricted monarchy, he left the powerless entity behind, as a proof that Eggman will never be defeated.
