@TumiMusic Candido Fabre y Su Banda featuring Mirelia Martín singing the song "Dejalo Que Vuele" Se acabó el besito en la boca El apretonsito de manos Llevamos una vida loca Peleamos, siempre peleamos A veces llego cansada Trabajo noches enteras En vez de estar a mi lado Se pone como una fiera Abre la puerta, la tira, la hala Da la espalda y no me mira Quiero abrazarlo, me inspira Pero no me dice nada A veces duermo con ropa El duerme con pantalón Lo provoco y no me toca Parece que ya no hay amor El silencio de la almohada Sabe bien cuanto lo quiero Voy a liberar sus alas Para que levante el vuelo Candido Fabre Candido Fabre was born on 20th September in 1957, in the town of San Luis, Santiago de Cuba and is best known for improvising lyrics in popular dance music. From a young age he showed an aptitude for improvisation and his musical development was not only influenced by his family environment, but also the music that was in and around the neighbourhood including: de las orquestas de charanga en boga La Unión Sanluisera, Maíz y sus muchachos , el combo Tropicuba, entre otras, las congas and the serenades of San Luis. When he was just 15 he sang with la orquesta los Hermanos Salazar, and later, en Palma Soriano con el combo Los Samurais. During a performance with the Orquesta Original de Manzanillo in San Luis,1983, Candido was recognised for his talents by orchestra director, Wilfredo (Pachi) Naranjo - so much so, that Naranjo appointed Candido as the leading voice in the renowned orchestra. During this time, Candido contributed a lot to the orchestra not only as a lead singer, but also as a music arranger and composer which helped enrich their repertoire. His leading voice was very distinctive giving the orchestra a recognition that lasted for around ten years! Candido and Orquesta Original de Manzanillo recorded six albums in the EGREM Siboney Studios including a few well-known songs: Coge el camarón (1983), Córranse ahí (1984), Acabo de llegar (1986), Vía libre (1987), Guayabita del Pinar (1988) and Tanto kilogramo de son (1989). In 1990 Candido and the orchestra participated in the Festival of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, where they received the el Premio Caracol del Caribe one of the highest awards offered in this genre. In 1993 he separated from Orquesta Original de Manzanillo and put together his own group, Cándido Fabré y su Banda, and recorded the album, Rematando fuerte (1993) which contains some of his own compositions including Deja que Roberto te toque. That same year, he returned to Colombia and participated in the same festival (Festival of Cartagena de Indias), but this time with his own band. Gaining a large amount of public recognition for his musical quality, the organizers decided to reward him for a second time. In 1993 Candido Joined Tumi Music and during this time he has recorded 6 long plays including: Son de Cuba (1996), Poquito a poco (1997), La Habana quiere guarachar contigo (2000),Cubano soy , Carretro 2007 and now his latest “El Son necesita de ti” One of the songs, Pa aquí pa allá buscando mi pareja even was used in the film Las edades de Lulú directed by Bigas Luna. With respect to this work Candido expressed: “I have been involved musically in some soap operas and many movies by Tumi Music (based in the UK), and I am pleased to know that the music is not only for dancing, but it is used on the big screen!” Candido’s songs were inspired by daily life and in particular, baseball - a sport that he is particularly passionate about or from a bus ride. Throughout his career, Candido has received numerous distinctions and awards including the Distinción por la Cultura Nacional (distinction by the national culture), la Nominación al Premio Nacional de Música 2011 (the nomination for the national prize of music 2011), la Llave de la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba (the key to the city of Santiago de Cuba), and la condición de Hijo Adoptivo de las ciudades de Camagüey y Ciego de Ávila (status of adoptive son of the cities of Camagüey and Ciego de Ávila), among others.
