Maryland is 49-67-1 against Johns Hopkins all-time. The Blue Jays list this as the 125th game between the two rivals. Hopkins counts seven more games in the series (1895-23) before men's lacrosse was an official varsity sport at the University of Maryland. • Since 1924 Maryland and Johns Hopkins have met on the lacrosse field every year (except for 1944 & 1945 due to World War II and 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). • Maryland has won five straight in the series, its longest winning streak in series history. All five of those wins have come in the past two seasons. • The two teams met three times in 2021, twice in the regular season due to the home-and-home Big Ten-only schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic and once in the Big Ten tournament finals. • In the 113th edition of The Rivalry on March 6, 2021 in College Park, the Maryland Terrapins scored 11 consecutive goals spanning the second through fourth quarter as the #3 Terps rolled past #20 Johns Hopkins, 18-10. The game marked the earliest Maryland and Hopkins have ever played in a season. • The rematch on April 24, 2021 was much closer with Wisnauskas scoring with 18 seconds left in regulation to lift No. 1 Maryland to a 14-13 comeback win at Homewood Field. Maryland scored three goals in the final 1:48 to rally from a 13-11 deficit to finish the comeback. • The 2021 Big Ten Tournament final saw No. 1 Maryland rally again to top Hopkins, 12-10, in University Park, PA. • The 2022 regular season meeting at Homewood Field saw the Terps score the most goals in series history with a 22-7 victory. The 15-goal margin was also a series record. • The rematch in the Big Ten tournament semifinals was more of the same, with the No. 1-ranked Terps cruising to a 16-11 victory at home in College Park. Maryland led 8-4 at the half and opened up a 14-6 lead after three quarters before coasting to the final whistle. • The last time Maryland and Johns Hopkins met in College Park in the regular season came on March 6, 2021, the first time the two schools ever met in March. Trailing 7-5 late in the second quarter, Maryland scored 11 consecutive goals to take a 16-7 lead en route to an 18-6 victory.
