Thirty farms have been selected for sampling. Standard entomological techniques were used to trap Culicoides spp. and Stomoxys calcitrans. We assess the presence of ASFV DNA, presence of pig DNA. We obtained CT values under 24 only in Stomoxys calcitrans collected from CF, TAF, BF. Pig DNA has been detected in the bloodmeal of Stomoxys calcitrans collected from CF. The detection of ASFV DNA in vectors is not an indication of their vectorial role. Further study is needed. Did you enjoy Balmos Oana Maria's video?
