This video introduces the many different circuit components and circuit symbols that are included in GCSE electricity. There are loads of different components that can be used to build a circuit and sometimes it's quite difficult to distinguish which component is which. It is very important to not only distinguish which components are which but also to have a specific and clear symbol for each component so that when we draw our circuits it is absolutely clear which components we are using. These components include; a cell, a battery, a filament bulb, a resistor, a diode, a wire, a variable resistor, a light dependent resistor (LDR), a thermistor, a fuse, a light emitting diode (LED), an ammeter and a voltmeter. It is important to take some time studying circuit components and symbols in order to commit them to memory.
