Combe TV - Episode 45 – With Motorcycle Racer/Instructor, Chris Ganley Thursday, 11 March, 7pm Presented by commentator, Chris Dawes, and racing instructor Rob Jones. Following on from last week’s show which discussed the recent tragic fire at Bridgwater & Taunton College, this week we’re joined by motorcycle racer and instructor, Chris Ganley – who works closely with the college and sadly lost the majority of his race bike equipment in the blaze. Spending 12 years in the army, Chris suffered a serious crash while racing in 2014 which resulted in his left arm being amputated. Adamant to get back on two wheels despite this setback, he’s since been working closely with others in similar positions to adapt his motorcycle and continue racing. He also now builds specialist bikes for other disabled people, as well as recently taking up a position as Instructor with Gordano Motorcycle Training. Chris works closely with Bridgwater & Taunton College who serviced and stored his bike between races. He’ll be on the show to discuss the recent fire and the impact it’s had on him and other colleagues and students at the establishment. There is a GoFundMe campaign in place to help those affected by the Bridgwater & Taunton College fire.
