The Sleeping Warrior

Heard this lovely restful tune some years ago and included it when playing out n about and folk enjoyed it. It was composed by Ayrshire musician, Mike Gill, having been, I think, inspired looking at the mountain ridge on Isle of Arran, which in silhouette, resembles a resting warrior, hence its local name and the title of the piece! I recorded the base of it at home some years back, the bass line and rhythm are from Korg i4S, accordion is my trusty (old) Crucianelli FC45. More recently, (and for those interested in the technical/sounds side), I played in piano from Spitfire Audio's soft piano, horns are a VST from Spitfire Audio's excellent BBC Orchestra samples. The pipes and snare are also played in, this time, using samples from the Celtic soundboard of the V3 Desktop module. If you enjoy this version, feel free to give a thumbs up and share it.
