His relationship with music began at the age of nine, the moment he heard "Wouldn’t It Be Good" by Nik Kershaw — a formative spark that never faded and continues to shape his work today. AKN’s sound draws from the melodic sophistication of Nik Kershaw, the emotional ambition of Tears For Fears, the alternative tension of Mansun, the grit of Oasis, and the raw honesty of Third Eye Blind. The result is music that feels timeless yet deeply personal — unpolished in the best way, and emotionally direct. These are songs for people who’ve lived, lost, loved, and endured. In 2008, Andrew wrote All the Stars for Gemma, a debut album born from heartbreak, resilience, and memory. At the time, it was simply too raw to release, becoming instead a private time capsule. Seventeen years later, in 2025, the album was finally released — a reminder that music created with honesty has no expiration date. Working independently through AKN Records, Andrew creates entirely on his own terms. He doesn’t chase trends, algorithms, or approval.
