Aircraft Traffic Enforcement Program - Integrated Traffic Services K Division

The Aircraft Enforcement Program has been used since the 1960's and is an effective traffic management tool which allows Traffic Services to visually monitor an entire traffic stream consisting of several vehicles which provides a different perspective than the ground approach. This program will be strategically deployed across Alberta to roadways that have been identified as high risk locations. The primary purpose will be to detect dangerous driving behaviours such as speeding, following to closely, unsafe passing as well as impaired driving. The program is already operational and will provide maximum safety benefits for all road users.
