CAMARINES SUR POLYTECHNIC COLLEGES (CSPC) Jota Rojana is a folkdance originating from Nabua Camarines Sur. It is usually performed in celebrations and social gatherings including festival, weddings and Baptismal parties. The dance is usually performed by Old People then followed by young one’s dancing in couples in a social manner. When performed, the Girl wears patadyong and camisa or kimona while Boy wears barong tagalog and preferably white trousers. The music of Jota Rojana has some similarities with the Areuana dance from Iloilo. The Music is divided into four parts each with distinct set of steps. The music and dance is in 3 4 measure. The basic dance steps are Engaño step, waltz, hands in circular movement and tapping of toes.
