Vodafone recently made the world’s first space video call from an area of no coverage using a standard mobile phone and commercial satellites built to offer a full mobile broadband experience. More recently it launched its space-land research hub in collaboration with AST SpaceMobile and the University of Malaga. This partnership has the potential to drive forward our shared vision of providing space-based cellular broadband connectivity directly to everyday smartphones everywhere.
