From the Stuart Highway its 162km to the waterhole, so if you need fuel, who have a few options, Kurundi Station approx. 60km from Stuart Highway or Epenarra Station approx. 110km from the Stuart Highway. I would recommend if you were towing a camper or using 4wd to take up the opportunity to top up your vehicle, because if you want to explore the country and check out the different sites on the way, you will probably need some extra fuel. As one of the first to visit the National Parks, the grass was long, and sites needed to be cleared prior to camping.
