The "Hard Clip" position it's pretty good to get clean/break up tones. You can hear the soloing at 0:24. The next 2 position of the switch cut a lot of high frequencies, good to play more heavy styles as you can hear at 4:37 Smooth position gives you a really fat sweet tone, specially with humbuckers. Good for soloing and Jazz tones, 4:50. You can hear all the differences of the first switch at 2:35 Don't know if my unit in special, but if I use Hard Clip with gain all the way, it start to clip the whole signal, you can hear some noises at 3:57 and 4:16 Really nice feature to get a boost, so you can give a push to your signal for soloing purposes or just more distortion.
