Today we make a Barrel O Rum Tiki Cocktail and go over a Very Brief History of Tiki Culture and Cocktails. This is not an Easy Tiki Cocktail, it uses many different ingredients. The Rum Barrel or Barrel O Rum is a cocktail inspired by original Rum Barrel created by Don Beach at his Restaurant. We likely do not know the original Recipe so this is a recreation and approximation. It is boozy with 2 types of Rum and a few different liqueurs. Rum barrel 2 oz Light Rum 2 oz Overproof Dark Jamaican Rum 1 oz Orange Juice 1 oz Pineapple Juice 1 oz Pink Grapefruit Juice 1 oz Lime Juice 1/2 oz Honey Syrup 1/4 oz Grenadine 1/4 oz Pimento (All Spice) Dram 1/4 oz Falernum Liqueur 1/6 oz Absinthe/Pernod Bitters Few Dashes This episode uses Angostura Light Rum, Appleton Estate Signature Blend Jamaican Rum, and Hamilton 151 Demerara Rum.
