This video shows how to sign basic American Sign Language (ASL) signs for beginners to communicate with Deaf people more easily. This video is the Part 3 of the “25 Basic ASL Signs for Beginners” series. Click 'SHOW MORE' to read more. Here is the link to the first and second videos if you haven’t watched them yet: First video - • 25 Basic ASL Signs For Beginners | Le... Second video - • 25 Basic ASL Signs For Beginners Part... Also- here is the link to the video answering the FAQ question of which hand to use in signing - • FAQ: Which hand to use? Right or left... ** Quick 411 related to the video ** 'People' can also be signed backward or up and down. There are two different versions for ‘person’- the closed 5 handshape and letter P handshape- both are commonly used. I recommend using the closed 5 handshape version- I showed both because it’s good to know both versions as some Deaf people do use the letter P handshape version. Same thing with ‘high school’- there are two different versions. Also, if you want to ask, “what did you say?”, you could just sign “say” with lowered eyebrows - just not adding “he / she” at the end as shown in the video for “what did he / she say?”. Stay tuned for the fourth and final part of the 25 Basic ASL Signs for Beginners series coming next month.
