On December 10, 2019, Durward Center, Baltimore resident and restoration expert for antique tower-clocks and organs, installed an M. Welte & Söhne Orchestrion that was donated to the National Watch & Clock Museum. He was assisted by Al Dodson and Scott Kip to complete the installation. M. Welte & Söhne was originally a German clock making company that evolved into making premiere, self-playing, mechanical organs. Their organs were sold all over the world to royal and wealthy clients. This interview features Mr. Center, who assembles and restores Welte Organs. He explains the history and details of this particular organ. The organ is currently on display in the Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania.
