SOUNDBITE (English) Erin Patterson, Nashville resident: ++PARTIALLY COVERED++ "I voted Republican. I wouldn't necessarily call myself that all the time, but in this election, voting locally, I really wanted somebody who loved what the city is about, that was outspoken in that way, and is working to protect the people who, who make the money in the city and help those people do with their money what they please." 3. SOUNDBITE (English) Kevin Mittelmeier, Nashville resident: ++PARTIALLY COVERED++ "A, she's (Aftyn Behn) not a Trump person and so it's gonna be a little different. This district obviously hasn't seen a Democrat in a long time and I'm actually in the middle. I'm not a Democrat or Republican, so I just kind of based on the person. And some of her top views were women's rights, absolutely, I'm engaged, and just hearing more women's rights and kind of what we're up against. I think she will have a voice for everybody." 5. SOUNDBITE (English) Anthony Bordonaro, Nashville resident: ++PARTIALLY COVERED++ "I voted for Matt (Epps). I lean more Republican, and I just didn't really like a lot of stuff I was hearing about the other candidate not liking Nashville." 7. SOUNDBITE (English) Erin Patterson, Nashville resident: ++PARTIALLY COVERED++ "I definitely think it could set a precedent for future elections and you know, I know with the districts being different, it kind of switches things up. So, I think it's important that we get a good understanding of what that looks like now." 9. Mid of voters casting ballots in Nashville during the Tennessee special election. STORYLINE: President Donald Trump and Republicans are hoping to recover from recent losses as Tennessee voters choose a representative for the conservative 7th Congressional District on Tuesday. The special election follows Rep. Mark Green's resignation this summer. The race has seen a surge in spending, with Republican Matt Van Epps receiving over $1 million from Trump-backing super PAC MAGA Inc. The House Majority PAC supported Democrat Aftyn Behn with $1 million. Democrats recently won big in New Jersey and Virginia, and a strong showing in Tennessee could boost them ahead of midterms next November. Both parties have focused on turnout, as early voting coincided with Thanksgiving week. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
